What we believe

We care about the dignity and possibility of all young people.

We believe public education is a human right and we believe in organized coalitions for social and economic justice.

We empower parents, caregivers, and community members to advocate for systems and culture change by creating opportunities for relationship building and political education.

Oregon's 2026 short legislative session starts February 2nd. The time to write to our electeds about protecting public education funding and revenue reform is NOW.

WRITE TO YOUR ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES

This document aims to provide parents, caregivers, and community members the messaging to send a letter campaign to their state lawmakers, and was created through collaboration with various school community advocacy leaders from across the State of Oregon, compiled and shared by Community & Parents for Public Schools.

The campaign calls on state legislators to protect K-12 funding and fix Oregon’s broken tax/revenue system to better fund our schools. Read this Oregon revenue and education explainer to understand the problem more.
